Wary Wallabies
36 x 30” 91.5 x 76cm
Acrylic on canvas
Another from our NT adventure where weeping branches and vines create a cascade of foliage down to the river edge. At certain places there are well used tracks down to the water’s edge for wildlife to drink. Unfortunately these are also perfect places for crocodile to wait camouflaged by the mud and dirty water. I asked the guide why birds did not seem to be afraid of crocs and he replied, “it’s the feathers, they don’t like a mouthful of feathers”.
